The delegates from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark and Danida Fellowship Centre (DFC) had the opportunity to visit Laas Geel, one of the most significant rock art sites in the Horn of Africa, located in Somaliland.
This remarkable site is renowned for its ancient cave paintings, featuring some of the earliest depictions of humpless cows with striking curved horns and marked udders. These artworks offer a fascinating glimpse into the region’s rich history and cultural heritage.
The visit was part of the BSU-IV program, hosted by the Center for Research, Publications and Community Services, University of Hargeisa.
